Epic Empties 2023 | Everything I Used Up!

That's right - it's time for the next installment of my Epic Empties series! Since it's been a while since I posted my last one, I figured I would take you through all the products I emptied over the last year. Epic Empties 2022 | Makeup, Skincare, Hair Care and more!

It's nearing the end of the year which means my empties bag has started to overflow (eek!)... my sign that it is finally time to sit down and round up all of the products that I've used up - or that I am finally ready to part ways with. I am always shocked by how much I manage to go through, but at the same time, this makes me eager to try something new or make room for an old favorite in my collection. Without further adieu, here are the products that have, for the most part, been getting a lot of love in my life lately!

Sunkissed Summer Makeup ☀️ Get Ready With Me + Cuba Trip Recap

Last month, I got to escape to Cuba for a week and it was a wonderful reset and escape, not having travelled abroad in almost four years. It was a great reminder of all that the world has to offer and I enjoyed my stay at the Playa Paraíso all-inclusive resort in Cayo Coco. Scroll to the bottom for all the tropical vibes! Now that I have a bit more colour (yay for sunkissed skin!), I've been loving playing with peachy pinks and bronzy blush and highlighter which you will see I used in this summery makeup look.

These days, the market is so saturated with emerging beauty brands that it takes a lot to grab my attention. Merit Beauty* is one that stood out from the rest to me. The brand was founded by Katherine Power, who is also the co-founder of Avaline Wine alongside Cameron Diaz. I was immediately drawn by the simplicity and ethos of the brand, featuring a small selection of products meant to keep your makeup routine fresh and most importantly, with no harm done as the ingredients are clean and non-toxic. I was excited to put these luxury products to the test in my latest video and share my thoughts and first impressions with you.

EPIC EMPTIES | One Year In The Making

Well, it has happened... I broke my own personal streak of posting my empties seasonally as it's coming up on a year that I haven't shared any on here! Rest assured, I've still been holding onto my used up products and am ready to spill the beans in this virtual show and tell. If you're new here, I enjoy sharing (and watching) empties as to me they are the best way to get a grasp on if a product is actually worth giving a try. No better testament to the performance of a product than hearing someone's thoughts following every last bit of it having been scooped out or scraped off, right?

Lise Watier Diamond Dreams | Holiday Makeup Look

The most wonderful time of the year is here! I've already gone down the rabbit hole of having Christmas decorations up and have been watching (too) many Hallmark holiday movies (and I'm not ashamed to admit it)! It's also been an insanely long time since I shared a holiday-inspired makeup look (take a trip down memory lane here) so I figure it was about time I got to it! Once my eyes were treated to the Lise Watier Diamond Dreams Collection Set* I knew I had to share it because it is absolutely gorgeous, from the holographic packaging down to the colours and the quality and performance of the makeup itself. For those unfamiliar with the brand, Lise Watier is part of Canada's largest cosmetics brand based here in Montreal and it has been around since 1972. The entire line is cruelty-free and products are made in Italy and available at pharmacies and department stores across Canada as well as online.

EPIC EMPTIES | Winter 2020 Edition

These last few weeks have felt very surreal with the pandemic we are currently facing and this new reality we have had to quickly adjust to. It's been devastating, to say the least, and not knowing what the future holds can be unsettling and really have a toll on one's well-being. I decided to take some time away from my platforms to process it all, and it felt good to not pressure myself to put out content when I felt it personally best to take a step back. I am however happy to be back today and wanted to keep with the regular programming that can be expected each season on my virtual space here on the internet. I am sharing my latest epic empties installment (better late than never)! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy at home. Stay strong - we will get through this together!

NEW! Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection | First Impressions + Makeup Look

I recently experienced one of those "pinch me" moments when this adorable pink box filled with the entire Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection landed on my doorstep. I am such a big fan of both the makeup artist and the amazing cosmetics line she has built, having tried quite a few of her products over the years. Surprisingly though, I had never tried the ever so popular Pillow Talk lipstick, one (if not the) most sold lipstick shade in the world. I saw on social media that Charlotte Tilbury was expanding her line to include not only deeper shades in the existing lipstick, lip liner and blusher but was also adding a bunch more Pillow Talk products to her range, such as an eyeshadow palette, highlighters and eyeliner. I was super stoked to put the new Pillow Talk products to work, and I figured it would be great to not only show you what's new but also have you see in action how these apply in my latest video, too!

Charlotte Tilbury Full Face Of Makeup | Get Ready With Me

Charlotte Tilbury recently came out with new makeup which I was lucky enough to receive, namely the Airbrush Flawless Foundation*, Magic Vanish Color Corrector* and Starry Eyes to Hypnotize Eyeshadow Palette*. As I was sorting through my vanity makeup, I came to the realization that I have collected quite a few of the brand's makeup over the last couple of years, enough to create a full-face look! I love watching one brand tutorials as you get to see what a brand has to offer in action and such videos speak to a product's application performance.

Vegan Food Haul + Taste Test! | iHerb.com

It has been a hot minute since I've shared a vegan food haul and taste test on here and while perusing iHerb.com recently to stock up on some supplements, I also threw in some never-before-tried snacks and meals into my cart! I'm always amazed by the variety of food I find on the website, and these all caught my attention. From fish-free tuna to vegan mac and cheese and matcha latte, I'm taste testing all of my finds on camera with you so you can see my live reactions! While some were definite hits, others were a little disappointing. Which ones should you give a try? I'm breaking it all down for you in my latest video!

Birthday Get Ready With Me | Hair, Makeup & Outfit + GIVEAWAY!

My birthday passed earlier this month and I had a fun-filled weekend celebrating with friends and family! I decided to show you how I got ready for one of my outings, from head to toe, in my latest video. I opted to straighten my hair, and went for a natural makeup look with minimal products used. Having been on a pressed powder kick for a while now, my heart skipped a beat when I saw that Make Up For Ever recently released their Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation*. I had previously reviewed their original Matte Velvet Skin Foundation (liquid form) and was overall really happy with the results, so I was looking forward to see if this one would yield a similar afterthought. The brand also not too long ago released its range of Ultra HD Light Capturing Self-Setting Concealer*, so  I decided to film a first impression using both together. Balanced Matte + Glowy Makeup Look | Chit Chat Get Ready With Me

I've been itching to film a makeup tutorial since it's been ages since I've done one, and with some sunny weather finally cooperating, I knew it was a sign to get on it! I've been keeping my makeup pretty simple these days, nothing too complicated or time-consuming. I have been doing a few steps differently though which I find make for a positive change, which I share with you in this Chatty Get Ready With Me. EPIC EMPTIES | Fall 2018 Edition

While everyone is talking about their New Year's resolutions, I've been focusing on my goal for the end of this year: sharing my empties with you guys! It sounds quite straightforward, however, having been very ill these last few weeks battling pneumonia (more of that in the video), I didn't think I could make it happen, but thankfully I am on the mend and had enough energy (and my voice back!) to share all of the products I've used up these last few months with you. Since starting this blog and video series, I haven't missed a season and I'm so glad I was able to make the streak continue (I know, it's the little things)! China Travel Diary | Beijing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai

It's still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that I travelled halfway around the world and got to visit the culturally-rich country that is the People's Rebulic of China! I had been wanting to visit for years, and when I came across a jaw-dropping deal online, I couldn't help but jump at the opportunity. I saw it as a sign that it was finally time to make the long journey! I spent close to two jam-packed weeks exploring Eastern China, starting off in Beijing, and then flew south to explore Wuxi, Suzhou, Hangzhou and finished off in Shanghai. From visiting the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the Olympic Center, a live Kung Fu show, a jade exhibition and the Great Wall of China in Beijing, to visiting Nanchang Street and Three Kingdoms City in Wuxi, to going on a Grand Canal Cruise and visiting the Couple's Garden in Suzhou, to taking a boat ride on Serene West Lake and sipping freshly brewed Dragon Well Green Tea at the plantation in Hangzhou, to walking Nanchang Street, seeing The Bund at night, soaking in the view from the observatory deck of the Jin Mao Tower and going on the Maglev train (aka the fastest train in the world!) in Shanghai, I hope you enjoy experiencing China through my eyes.
