Charlotte Tilbury recently came out with new makeup which I was lucky enough to receive, namely the Airbrush Flawless Foundation*, Magic Vanish Color Corrector* and Starry Eyes to Hypnotize Eyeshadow Palette*. As I was sorting through my vanity makeup, I came to the realization that I have collected quite a few of the brand's makeup over the last couple of years, enough to create a full-face look! I love watching one brand tutorials as you get to see what a brand has to offer in action and such videos speak to a product's application performance.
In my latest video, see how I go from plain Jane to all glammed up using Charlotte Tilbury products exclusively in just under ten minutes!
I've been a fan of the Unisex Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer* for a few years now. I love how it instantly provides my face with a radiant veil, and it's great to layer under a matte foundation or powder as I show in this Get Ready With Me. It's also nice to wear on its own when you can't be bothered applying face makeup but want your skin to look illuminated. You can read more about it here.
The new Airbrush Flawless Foundation* seems to already have become a cult favourite despite only recently having launched. I was very much looking forward to seeing how it performs on my combination skin. This matte finish liquid foundation provides great coverage and blends with ease. It is also long-lasting, and in combination with the powder I used below, it did not budge for the whole 12 hours I had it on. It's great to apply with the Hollywood Complexion Brush* which is dual-ended with soft yet densely-packed bristles to distribute the product without causing streakiness or sheering it out.
The Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder* is fantastic and my makeup does not budge whenever I use it to set my liquid foundation. It is very finely milled and does not make my skin look cakey at all. It contains rose wax as well as almond oil and adds a hint of luminosity to nicely balance the matte Airbrush Flawless Foundation. When I went to a Charlotte Tilbury opening event this past spring, the makeup artist used this powder on me and I am so happy to have it in my life now because it was love at first application!
The Magic Vanish Color Corrector* is meant to cancel our dark under-eye circles or any other areas that need a touch-up. It's meant to be used under concealer and it is recommended to apply it with your fingertip, but I actually used it instead of concealer with a brush and it still worked great! I actually skipped on concealer altogether and also used it on my hyperpigmentation and it helped cancel out and brighten up those darker areas of my face.
The Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo in Medium/Dark* is one I reach for very often ever since I first discovered it last year. The bronzer works great on my light skin tone and is buildable to help sharpen my cheekbones, forehead, chin and nose. It's not too muddy or orange and looks very natural. The blush, on the other hand, is very pigmented so I have to go in with a very light hand. It's a beautiful bright pink with a slight shimmer to it that does not fade throughout the day.
The Starry Eyes to Hypnotize Eyeshadow Palette* is simply stunning, isn't it? I love how it is laid out to help you create four different looks: Happy Glow, Love Glow, Dream Glow and Seduce Glow, each including a primer shade, an all-over lid shade and a crease/blending shade. Of course, you can create a look with your own variations, as I did in this look. These shades are super smooth and buttery, very pigmented and easy to work with. I know I will be reaching for this palette a lot for years to come.
Going back to that Charlotte Tilbury event I attended a few months ago at the newly opened Charlotte Tilbury beauty counter in downtown Montreal, I could not leave without purchasing the Legendary Lashes Volume 2 Mascara after I saw the before and after result following my makeover! I think I never saw my lashes look so fluffy and fluttery after the makeup artist used it on my lashes. I definitely treated myself that day as I never spent so much on mascara ever before - and now I'm kind of kicking myself because I love it so much and might need to repurchase - it's just that good. I rarely apply mascara to my bottom lashes, but have been doing it a lot more because I love the result this particular one provides. I also never experience flaking or smudging throughout the day when wearing it, it's truly a gem!
To finish off the look, I went for a bold colour, the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Legendary Queen*. It looks almost brown in the bullet but it turns into a beautiful bright burgundy once applied. It's a bit trickier to apply on the outer edges, so I reach for a lip brush to even everything out. It's not transfer-proof but lasts a decent amount of hours and does not dry out my lips despite skipping on lip balm.
