La Roche-Posay Make-Up Remover Micellar Water Gel | Review

Micellar water is very 'in' right now when it comes to skincare, and with reason: it is innovative as the formula does not require rinsing. I actually shared my favourite micellar product on the blog a couple of years ago here and I still use the little gem to this day. I've only tried it in liquid form so I was very intrigued to read that La Roche-Posay came out with a line of micellar products, one of them being the Make-Up Remover Micellar Water Gel*. But what is so special about micellar water you ask? Well, this water is super effective at removing dirt that sits deep in our pores since some of the micro-particles found in the solution are attracted to the oily residue, while others are attracted to H2O, making it non-irritating on the skin. Being soap-free, this one is very gentle and keeps the skin's natural pH balanced and it is also suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Osheaga Festival Inspired Makeup Tutorial ft. essence cosmetics

I'm sure you've all heard of the Osheaga Festival that takes place every summer here in Montreal. Every year, Parc Jean-Drapeau welcomes some of the music industry's most coveted artists for three consecutive days. For its 10th anniversary, the lineup includes world re-known performers Florence + The Machine, Marina And The Diamonds, Kendrick Lamar, Milky Chance, The Black Keys, ALT-J, Charli XCX, Tove Lo and many more. I'm a huge music fan and living in the city, one of my favourite activities is to attend concerts and festivals... yet I've still never been to Osheaga! Something I hope to change in the future, however as a member of the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Network, I thought it would be fun to take part in an Osheaga themed post and show you what look I would wear to the festival featuring one of my favourite brands, essence cosmetics. Not only are their products super affordable, but they are also long-lasting and get me through even the most hot and humid summer days. Hope you enjoy this tutorial!

NEW Jealous Body Scrub in Grapeseed + Macadamia | Review

Ever have those moments when you are desperate to get rid of stubborn flaky dry skin and nothing seems to get the job done? Not too long ago, I was blown away by the original Jealous Body Scrub made from coffee grounds and coconut oil and how it left my skin soft as ever (more on that here). I'm not the only one who thinks so either - everyone has been raving about this fabulous scrub! Jealous Body has recently expanded their line to incorporate four new, all natural scrubs: almond + coffee, cocoa + almond, almond + macadamia as well as grapeseed + macadamia*, which I will be sharing my thoughts on with you today.

Summer Glam | Bold Gold Eyes and Glossy Red Lips

I felt inspired to reach for some gold eye shadow the other day and film a summer-friendly makeup look! I ended up smoking it out and pairing it with a bright red lip shade and an overall bronzed complexion. I really like how it turned out, and the best part is that this makeup really lasts even in the most intense heat and humidity. I think priming, setting with a powder and then spritzing a finishing spray really make a difference when it comes to ensuring your makeup stays put in the summertime.

JORD Fieldcrest Series Wood Watch in Maple | Review + How I Style

I used to be a big watch wearer back in my high school days (mainly because I was one of the rare ones without a cell phone until my final year) and since then I haven't really found the need for one. I recently got back into wearing watches, or let's say wearing just one which I absolutely adored, but sadly lost a couple of months ago. Deep down I'm still hoping I will find it in a random place in my house. I thought long and hard about where else it could be and so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I simply misplaced it. It could thus not have been better timing (pun intended) when JORD reached out to me and asked if I would like to try one of their lovely watches. In case you haven't seen them take over social media (I first spotted them on Instagram and have had my eyes on them ever since), JORD (Swedish for earth, soil, land), a St. Louis, Missouri based watch company, specializes in creating the most stunning wood watches I've ever seen for both women and men. They have many different styles and types of wood to choose from, so you can imagine how hard it was for me to pick a favourite! I decided on the Fieldcrest series watch in Maple* because I love the shape and the light wood which is very much in style right now.

Pure Daily Essentials Natural Skincare | Review

I'm a big supporter of natural products and small businesses, so when I found out about Pure Daily Essentials, a family based skin care company located in Langley, BC, I of course couldn't resist trying them out. They have quite a few items in their line ranging from facial care, hand and body, shower and bath and even baby specific products, all handcrafted and safe for the skin to absorb as they are 100% chemical free. Their ingredient rating can also be found on the EWG website here. Today I will be sharing my thoughts on their Make-Up Remover*, Age Defense Facial Cream*, Anti-Odor Bar in Lemongrass* and Bubble Gum Lip Balm*.

Make Up For Ever Summer Launches: NEW Pro Bronze Fusion and Kabuki, Aqua Matic and Aqua Rouge | Review + Makeup Look

Summer launches have to be my favourite because 1) that means summer is on its way and 2) plenty more reasons to play with bright colours and go for that bronzed, glowy look, am I right? Better yet is when you know your makeup will last all day despite the heat and humidity. When I saw Make Up For Ever's summer launches, my heart skipped a beat. Firstly, their Pro Bronze Fusion waterproof bronzers, available in six shades and two finishes, will have you looking sun-kissed in just a few swipes. I have shades 20M Natural Matte Sand* and 25I Soft Iridescent Cinnamon* and the handy 136 Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki* to share with you, as well as two new shades from the Aqua Matic Waterproof Glide-On Eye Shadows in D-70 Diamond Peach* and ME-32 Metallic Golden Khaki*. They also came out with two new Aqua Rouge Waterproof Liquid Lip Colors, and I will be swatching 21 Cool Candy Pink* for you below. The makeup look I came up with featuring these new products actually came out more wearable than I thought (see for yourself below)!

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter | Review

I thought I would share a recent skin care gem that I believe deserves some recognition. I reach for body butters mostly during the winter months, but this one I just haven't been able to put down despite summer being in full swing. If you are a big citrus fan you absolutely must get your hands on this wonderful product. This was my first time trying anything from Pacifica, and their Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter could not have been a better introduction. What's so special about it you ask?
