Well, the day has finally come. My room was in need of a major makeover, and although I did not document the before (you can still catch glimpses of my obnoxiously bright yellow room in some of my older videos), I decided to share my new space with you. JORD Fieldcrest Series Wood Watch in Maple | Review + How I Style

I used to be a big watch wearer back in my high school days (mainly because I was one of the rare ones without a cell phone until my final year) and since then I haven't really found the need for one. I recently got back into wearing watches, or let's say wearing just one which I absolutely adored, but sadly lost a couple of months ago. Deep down I'm still hoping I will find it in a random place in my house. I thought long and hard about where else it could be and so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I simply misplaced it. It could thus not have been better timing (pun intended) when JORD reached out to me and asked if I would like to try one of their lovely watches. They have many different styles and types of wood to choose from, so you can imagine how hard it was for me to pick a favourite! I've been shopping around in the last few weeks for new summer pieces as my closet has been looking a little sad, and since it's that time of the year when all the good sales are going on, I've been making the best of it! For one, my cousin was visiting from Alberta so we spent an afternoon at the mall and I picked up a few pieces from Dynamite and American Eagle. I also needed to find an outfit for my graduation ceremony and found a lovely dress at Winners along with a cute pair of blue lace up sandals. I scored a couple more deals on flats at Payless and Ardene because I was in dire need of new ones. If you know me, you know I mostly always buy clothes that are discounted, as evidenced by this haul. I taught I would share what I picked up and film a lookbook too (my first fashion video)! What's In My Handbag ft. Matt and Nat

It's been ages (or more like a year) since I've written my last fashion post, so I decided that instead of just sharing pictures, I'd also film what I keep inside my handbag for you to see! I've been on the hunt for a new handbag since the one I've been wearing for the last couple of years is literally falling apart, and I've had my eyes on the brand Matt & Nat for a while now. I love that they are designed in Montreal and that all of their bags are made with vegan leather using recycled nylon, and that the interior lining is made of 100% recycled plastic bottles. Fun fact: I work in retail for an accessory brand that specializes in handbags (and no, not for Matt & Nat - I wish!), so handling bags for hours on end during my shifts has taught me how to tell if a bag is well-made. This one is by far one of the nicest, high-quality bags I have come across. It is called the 'Alter' Tote Bag and it is part of their Vintage Collection. I went for the shade 'Caramel', and I just love it! If you need a new bag, I would highly recommend you check out Matt & Nat's website. Shifting a Shade this Fall with Clairol | Anticipating the Big Day!

In between being a full-time student, working part-time, making time for friends and family, going to events and running a blog and YouTube channel, life can be a little hectic at times. I'm always thinking one step ahead about all that needs to be done by a certain deadline and crossed off my to-do list. Despite having a busy schedule, I know the importance of making time for myself so that I can clear my mind and enjoy some downtime to feel refreshed and ready to tackle whatever is coming next. What I love so much about statement earrings is that they can make a very simple, casual outfit look very put together, but they can also be worn on special occasions and bring an already dressy outfit to a whole other level. Although you will most often see me wearing stud earrings (I am especially into pearls at the moment), in the last few months I have been especially drawn to over-sized hoops, which I think make anyone look extra fabulous. New Year, New Clothes and a New Camera!

Happy New Year beauties! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that you had the chance to catch up with friends and family - and also got to indulge in some delicious food! I don't know about you, but I ate way too much in the last week... I'm definitely going to take it easy on the meals for the next few days!

A few days ago I decided it was time for me to get some new clothes for work. I tend to buy my clothes in bulk, once in the summer and once during winter when all the good sales are going on. I went a little crazy at one of my favourite clothing stores here in Canada called Dynamite, and I was also in need of new winter boots and was so glad to find a pair I liked from SoftMoc!

Also, I finally got a new camera! I had been saving my money to purchase a DSLR, and I can now say that I am the proud owner of a Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D! I've always been interested in photography, and I am so excited to experiment and learn all there is to know when it comes to taking professional photos. I've been meaning to bring my blog to the next level, and having a DSLR to take better pictures is definitely one step in the right direction!
