Alberta Road Trip: Canadian Rockies, Glacial Lakes, BC Border and Edmonton

Bow River Banff Alberta Canada

Western Canada has a special place in my heart. I first got to experience it back in 2011 when I visited Vancouver, and again in 2014 when I travelled to Alberta to visit my cousin and her husband who had recently moved to Edmonton from Ontario (catch a glimpse from that trip here). My sister and I wanted to visit them again this year, so we booked a week off in mid-August so that we could make our way out west again. I've been documenting my travels on the blog these past couples of years (Greece two years ago and Italy last September), so I thought it would be fun to put a post and video together for Alberta this year since I did not write a detailed post the first time around. In true tourist spirit, I lugged my DSLR and phone around everywhere we went to capture the beauty around me. We landed in Edmonton on Wednesday and spent the rest of the day at their country house that first night and had Indian food from Tandoori Fuzion in St Albert for dinner. I went for Chana Masala with rice and vegan naan bread and it was exquisite. I've only had Indian a handful of times but have yet to be disappointed!

First Impression | Charlotte Tilbury Makeup and Skin Care

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation Unisex Healthy Glow Magic Foundation Goddess Skin Clay Mask

I still remember quite vividly the whirlwind surrounding Charlotte Tilbury's beauty line launch back in 2013 - I myself had not been familiar with the makeup artist, but once news broke that she had released her own products, she had definitely piqued my interest. I later learned that she was a household name in the makeup industry and worked with a slew of celebrities including Emma Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, JK Rowling and Kate Moss. Since her brand's launch at Selfridges in London, her products are not only available in Britain but also in stores in the US, Canada and the Netherlands as well as online. Her products are on the pricier side and I always wondered if they are worth the price tag. I recently had the opportunity to try a handful of her beauty products, and I am happy to report back on how I have been getting along with them.
