Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics: Asian Skin Care Face Products Review

With my newly discovered love for sheet masks and growing fondness for all things Asian skin care, I was so excited when The Beauty Mask Shop, a recently launched Canadian online beauty store, asked me if I'd like to try some skin care products from Korean brand Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics. A.H.C offers luxurious products meant to bring the same results as would professional spa treatments, all in the comfort of your own home. This company is amongst the most prestigious Korean cosmeceutical brands, being distributed in over 2,000 professional skincare establishments throughout Korea. I was graciously sent a handful of samples from A.H.C, so I will be sharing with you my thoughts on each product that I got to put to the test!

Sheet Masks
Toner, Cream and Serum
The first sheet mask I got to try is the A.H.C Hydra Soother Mask* ($15). What is so great about all 3 masks featured in this post is that they are cooling - that's right! Just pop them in the refrigerator 20 minutes before use, or until the little thermometer on the back of the package turns green. Once opened,  you will find a sheet mask that feels slimy to the touch, but don't let that fool you because that is what gives these sheet masks their kick! The Hydra Soother Mask is infused with 50% Hyaluronic acid solution. Hyaluronic acid is one of, if not the best ingredient to bring back moisture to the skin. It attracts and retains water inside the skin, all while rejuvenating and protecting it. So not only does this mask provide intense hydration, but it also acts as a stress reliever because of its calming effect, which is just the cherry on top. The mask can be left on for 20 to 30 minutes, after which I just pat and massage any remaining solution into my skin. My face has seriously never felt so hydrated before, and I owe it all to this little miracle worker of a product!

The A.H.C Vital C Complex Mask* ($15) has a whitening effect thanks to its 50% Vitamin C content, extracted from lemons. As soon as I ripped the package open I could smell the citrus-y goodness of this mask. As a whitening enhancer, this mask aims to lighten and prevent the appearance of dark pigments in skin cells. Containing collagen, hyaluronic acid and rose flower water, it also brings back a natural, healthy glow to the skin while at the same time improving the skin's metabolism. After only one use I noticed how my dark spots were less visible, which is pretty astounding!

The last mask I got to try is the A.H.C Phyto Complex Mask* ($15). This one particularly targets wrinkle fighting as it contains 50% collagen, which is know to plump up the skin. It is ideal from preventing or delaying the appearance of fine lines. Other ingredients include hyaluronic acid and wheat amino acid. This one is also an all natural mask, packed with nutrients that will prevent skin damage and has both a cooling and firming effect.

While most toners feel stripping, the A.H.C Hyaluronic Toner* (full size - 100 ml, $45) was formulated to tone and hydrate the skin. With ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, ginseng root extract, coconut fruit extract and lavender extract, this toner must be one of the most pleasant ones I have tried. It smells really nice, and being alcohol free won't dry the skin. Applied in a thin layer, it quickly gets absorbed into the skin. I use this product after cleansing and before smoothing the mask on my face, since it kind of acts as a primer and preps the skin for even more intense hydration.

The A.H.C Hydra B5 Soother* (full size - 30 ml, $95) is great to use in conjunction with the Hyaluronic Toner. It also contains hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin B5, an effective ingredient to treat damaged, acne-prone skin. This soothing enhancer also diminishes fine lines and gets rid of fat granules around the eyes. Although I do not *yet* have fine lines or fat granules on my face, I can vouch for its soothing and moisturizing properties. It is best to apply this product in circular motions morning and night for optimal results.

Last but not least, the A.H.C Real Eye Cream for Face* (full size - 30 ml, $52) is also a wonderful face product. It targets sensitive skin and contains natural fruit, vegetable and plants extracts to revitalize the skin. This product was voted best eye cream at the Beauty Award 2012, so the expectations were very high! Once again, I have only good things to say about this cream. It can be used for the eyes or for any area that needs lifting or blurring of fine lines. Although I am luckily still at the age where fine lines have yet to appear, prevention is definitely key and this cream keeps my face ultra moisturized. I apply the Real Eye Cream for Face at bedtime since it is on the thicker side and I wake up with soft, relaxed skin.

I have to say I was beyond impressed with all of these A.H.C products. I have honestly never been left with such hydrated skin. If you are looking to add intense hydration to your skin care routine, I would highly recommend you try Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics!
