Biotherm Aquasource Skin Care | Review

I was invited to a Biotherm Blogger Event a few weeks ago (more on my experience here), and on top of getting to network with a lovely group of ladies, I also got to go home with a tote bag filled with three of their best-seller products from the Aquasource line, all of which contain life plankton cellular water as their active ingredient and are also free of paraben preservatives or mineral oils. Having been using these products for about a month now, I thought I would share with you how these products have been working for my skin.

Aquasource* (C$47.00, 50 ml) is a green tinted gel suitable for both normal and combination skin. I like using this product in the morning after cleansing my face as it acts as a great base for my foundation. I only need to dab a small amount onto my face as it spreads out very thinly and evenly. After only a couple of minutes the gel is completely absorbed into my skin, and I am left with a super radiant complexion. I've never really used gels on my skin, so I was really impressed by how it almost instantly improved the texture and glow of my skin, and how long lasting it was too! The product comes in a glass jar, which definitely adds to its luxurious feel.

Aquasource Deep Serum* (C$60.00, 50 ml) has a jelly consistency, and contains triple the amount of plankton cellular water compared to the above product. I have just recently started using serums as I wasn't too sure how they differed from creams and gels, but after doing some research I discovered how truly beneficial they are for us. Serums contain a higher concentration of an active ingredient, in this case plankton cellular water, so it is a great way to rapidly restore moisture back into the skin. I really like the packaging of this product as well, it comes in a glass container with a pump dispenser, and I just need a pump and a half to cover my entire face and neck area. I like using this one either under my other moisturizers or on its own when my skin is feeling dehydrated.

Aquasource Night* (C$50.00, 50 ml) is also a blue-tinted jelly, specifically meant for bedtime use. As the skin has a tendency to lose more water during the night, this product contains ingredients which target skin rehydration. The first time I used it, I noticed how much more elastic my skin felt the following morning. The jelly has a blue tint, and just as the other products from the line, I do not need much to cover my face and neck. This product also comes in a glass container with a pump.

These products have quite an earthy scent that reminds me of walking by the sea side. Using this range I have also noticed a big improvement in terms of my skin's hyperpigmentation - my dark spots and scarring seem to be healing faster now that I have been using these products daily. If you are looking to treat yourself to a skin care line that quickly restores moisture back into the skin, I would highly recommend you give Aquasource a try!

  8. OUUU, THE PACKAGING IS GORGEOUS. I'm a sucker for blue tinted packaging, plus, it fits with the theme of the products as 'aqua'! I will definitely have to check out Aquasource for myself, since a girl can never have too many moisturizers, right? :)
