Over the years, I have had the chance to try a handful of beauty tools and devices. From a neck massager to a hair removing device and various facial cleansing tools, I love seeing what is out there and what actually performs. It can definitely be overwhelming and I personally love reading more in-depth blog reviews to see if a product is a right fit for my personal needs. I have heard of the amazing benefits that LED light therapy can have for the skin long-term, so I was excited that CurrentBody reached out for me to try their Skin LED Light Therapy Mask*! Praised by the likes of Gal Gadot, Kaley Cuoco, Kate Hudson, Renée Zellweger, Suki Waterhouse, Tati Westbrook and Wayne Goss, this product has received quite the hype and I wanted to share how I've been enjoying it over the last few weeks!

This winter has been one for the books with many days and nights feeling close to -40°C with wind chill. Now, we are accustomed to frigid temperatures here in Canada in the winter months, but the arctic air sure has been a stubborn guest this month, beating records of extreme cold and my skin sure has taken a beating! Thankfully, I have a trusty water softening system as well as a few body care saviours which together have been of great help to not turn my skin into the Sahara desert. Our skin is our largest organ after all, so I try to treat it as best as I can when it's in need of some extra TLC.

Now, what makes this brand really stand out is that they pride themselves in creating products made out of clay! I've been a long-time fan of this ingredient and even shared a DIY face mask recipe on the blog a few years ago now. Clay has many detoxifying properties and has been used in wellness treatments for centuries. Based out of San Francisco, Zion Health specializes in making products that are natural and made in the USA, with most of their products being vegan! I received a few products to try out, which I've been testing out and I'm excited to share my thoughts with you.

These days, the market is so saturated with emerging beauty brands that it takes a lot to grab my attention. Merit Beauty* is one that stood out from the rest to me. The brand was founded by Katherine Power, who is also the co-founder of Avaline Wine alongside Cameron Diaz. I was immediately drawn by the simplicity and ethos of the brand, featuring a small selection of products meant to keep your makeup routine fresh and most importantly, with no harm done as the ingredients are clean and non-toxic. I was excited to put these luxury products to the test in my latest video and share my thoughts and first impressions with you.

Rest assured, I've still been holding onto my used up products and am ready to spill the beans in this virtual show and tell. The most wonderful time of the year is here! I've already gone down the rabbit hole of having Christmas decorations up and have been watching (too) many Hallmark holiday movies (and I'm not ashamed to admit it)! It's also been an insanely long time since I shared a holiday-inspired makeup look (take a trip down memory lane here) so I figure it was about time I got to it! Once my eyes were treated to the Lise Watier Diamond Dreams Collection Set* I knew I had to share it because it is absolutely gorgeous, from the holographic packaging down to the colours and the quality and performance of the makeup itself. For those unfamiliar with the brand, Lise Watier is part of Canada's largest cosmetics brand based here in Montreal and it has been around since 1972. The entire line is cruelty-free and products are made in Italy and available at pharmacies and department stores across Canada as well as online.

My Experience With Microneedling | Acne Scar Treatment ft. Banish

Over the years, I've had my ups and downs dealing with acne, which I've struggled with for over 15 years now. It crushed my confidence and self-esteem at a young age and has been an emotional rollercoaster, to say the least! Despite all the low points I've been through, I am so grateful that I am an acne sufferer - not something my younger self ever imagined I would say! It led me to where I am today in many aspects of my life, including the existence of this blog because acne is what got me into researching health and beauty products in the first place as well as helping me discover the plant-based lifestyle. While I don't break out nearly as much as I used to, I do get the occasional breakout (the proof is on my Youtube channel where you can also see how my skin has progressed and improved acne-wise over the last few years) and my skin is still very much prone to scarring and hyperpigmentation. I wanted to go more in-depth about microneedling, a treatment that has done wonders for my skin over the last couple of years and share a recent discovery in Banish* skincare products which I was so excited to finally test out after hearing great things about them over the years.
