Too Faced is one of those brands that really stands out from the rest. Although I haven't tried too many of their products, they certainly know how to create buzz with their unique formulations and sweet packaging (and scents!), not to mention they have a lot of vegan options, including this entire liquified lipstick line. A few months ago, I was shopping at Sephora and I really wanted to pick up a liquid lipstick in a shade I didn't already own. As I set my eyes on the Too Faced display, the Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig stood out - and then I thought to myself: "Wait a minute... I actually don't own any purple-toned lip shades!". Let's just say the swatch sealed the deal almost instantly.
One of the stand out features of the Too Faced Melted Liquid Long Wear Lipsticks is their darling packaging: they come in a squeeze tube with a soft, slanted sponge tip applicator. You would think it would get really messy, by the design allows for just the right amount of product to come out. A little goes a long way as well - I focus a tiny bit of product on the center of my lips and spread it out to get an even coverage.
Wondering if the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig is opaque and long-lasting? Trust me when I say that this stuff stays put for a good 4+ hours on my lips, despite talking, eating and drinking, similar to the Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss Lip Lacquers. This formula is much creamier in my opinion, but still feels light on the lips, to the point where I forget I am even wearing anything. It has a sweet berry scent to boot, which of course I absolutely love!
My only complaint about this product is that it can be a little tricky to get a crisp line, so I usually have to use a lip brush if the outside of my lips is looking a bit sloppy.
I would describe the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig as a purply-rose with a slightly glossy finish. It is definitely a statement colour that I enjoy wearing when I am feeling bold with my makeup, which is why I keep the rest of my makeup pretty subtle not to overpower it.
The Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig can be purchased online on both the Sephora (C$25.00, US$21.00) and Ulta (US$21.00) websites.
