DIY Frosted Glass Coastal Vase
H2OBungalow
You know that feeling when your heart is set on something, so much so, that you can just about see it and feel it?  In your mind you’re certain it’s the finishing touch, the grand finale, the one thing that completes the picture in your head.  You just know when you run into the store it’s gong to be there, waiting for you, right?  Imagine my frustration when I couldn’t find my finishing touch for this DIY frosted glass project I promised you guys last week.

Carrot Cake Smoothie
Homemade Hooplah
Skip the baking and the frosting and enjoy a rich and creamy carrot cake smoothie.

a simple daily exercise to dramatically increase your creativity
sewn at midnight
For a little over a year now, I’ve woken up an extra hour early almost every single day. I’m not naturally an early riser, so let this be a testament to a creative exercise that really works. I now wake up early and use that extra time to write three pages by hand in a spiral bound notebook. I write whatever pops into my mind- sometimes I write about my dreams from the night before or my plans for the day, I frequently write about all the little things that happened the previous day and occasionally some big plans for the future slip in there. There’s always lots of the trivial “I’m sleepy today and I don’t feel like going to work” (pretty sure I write some iteration of that thought every morning) and sometimes there are some powerful and surprising insights.

CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE CROISSANTS
All She Cooks
Chocolate Cream Cheese Croissants are just about the easiest breakfast you can make.  And they have chocolate in them, so they are good, good, good.  If you’re not a huge cream cheese fan, cut the amount of cream cheese in half, or just leave it out entirely and love yourself some chocolate.

Vintage Table-Modern Masters Metallic Paints
FabiFabu
This Vintage sewing machine table I got it at an Estate Sale for only $5.00 dollars with no sewing machine  inside. I decided to convert it to a side table for  my room. For this renovation I used the Metallic Line of Modern Masters Paint. This line of paints, with a very subtle sheen, can be used for any type of remodeling; it can be applied to cabinets, walls and furniture. Modern Masters paints have full coverage and with only two applications you get the desired finish. They are super soft to the touch, dry fast and from the first application you can see great coverage and a beautiful finish!

Remind Me Who I Am
Doorkeeper
Sometimes I forget who I am.
I might be sitting in a meeting, enjoying a meal with family, browsing through a store, and I hear the voice of a stranger speaking and realize . . . that’s me.

August 2015 Favorites
Skin Stuff by Katy
Hi everyone! I say this pretty much every month, but the year is just flying by. The past couple months have been not so great personally, but they're going by fast, which I'm happy about. It's September now, which means I get to celebrate my 2 year wedding anniversary soon, and there are only 3 more months until my birthday! I didn't wear too much makeup in August, but I do have a few favorites to share with you all.

Mason Jar Lights for Fall
A Proverbs 31 Wife
With fall coming on, for some reason I got it into my head that I wanted some “warm” outdoor lighting. I knew I wanted to make Mason Jar Lights but wasn’t quite sure how to go about it.
