The Many Benefits Of Vitamin E Oil + What I Use!

We've all heard how vitamin E oil has many properties that we can benefit from both internally and externally, but what exactly makes it a great staple in our beauty routine? In its purest form and applied directly on the skin, not only does this sought-after vitamin rich in antioxidants prevent the signs of aging, but is also helps minimize the appearance of wrinkles by increasing the elasticity of the skin with the production of collagen. But it doesn't stop there! What first attracted me to this potent oil is that it is effective at brightening the skin by fading scars left from acne, prevent new breakouts and dark spots from surfacing as well as reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Not only that, but if you need some soothing after a painful sunburn, applying it topically will soothe and hydrate the skin quickly and effectively while preventing the area from developing more damage and sensitivity. For pregnant women, applying it directly to the abdomen as soon as your bump starts showing will do wonders for preventing stretch marks and the itching often associated with expanding skin. After doing more research, I quickly learned that adding it to your skin care routine is just the beginning!

We often see vitamin E in commercial products such as shampoos and conditioners, but did you know that you can apply it directly to your scalp? I've been a long time fan of coconut oil in my hair care (more on that here), so when I recently learned that vitamin E can also be applied directly to the scalp to boost growth and repair damage by coating your strands, I was sold! You don't need much either, just a few drops and a nice little massage, wait 10-15 minutes before rinsing it out and you will be on your way to stronger, healthier locks!

So what particular product have I been using you ask? A luxurious blend of vitamin E oil from Health Priority Natural Products*. This professional grade, 100% organic mixture of natural vitamin E, rice bran, avocado, jojoba, lavender and palmarosa oils has been wonderful to my skin. Free of chemicals and preservatives, non GMO and cruelty free, this has quickly become my new favourite oil. Over the last few weeks, I have noticed how much more even and smooth my skin feels since incorporating it into my routine. I have seen a gradual decrease in my scarring and my skin feels plump and hydrated after a bout of very dry skin. It's truly wonderful.

This particular oil can be purchased on Amazon and comes in two sizes in a convenient dropper bottle.

Have you tried using vitamin E on its own? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts!

  6. You had me at "vitamin E can also be applied directly to the scalp to boost growth and repair damage by coating your strands". Hehe. It doesn't feature at all in my skincare regime which is probably a gross oversight. :-)
