Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

I am always on the lookout for a good zit zapper and I had heard some pretty good reviews on the Advantage Acne Spot Treatment from Clean & Clear. I decided to pick it up and give it a go since it sounded promising.

This treatment is in gel form and contains salicylic acid (2.0%) which is know to kill bacteria that culminate to form a zit. It is also oil free and claims to visibly reduce acne within 4 hours without overdrying the skin.

The verdict? Unfortunately, I did not notice that it did much to reduce my spots. I do feel a tingling sensation once I apply it, which quickly passes and I also feel my skin tighten a little bit after a few minutes. On the directions it says to apply the product 2-3 times a day, but I only use it once a day at bedtime since that is when my face is freshly cleansed and I can actually let it sink into my skin since I use face creams and have makeup on during the day.

Have any of you tried this treatment? How has it worked for you?

  2. Hi,

I, too, tried this product. It did nothing for me. I eventually switched to Neutrogena's Complete Therapy System at http://tgt.biz/15jMt58. It's not a miracle, but it definitely worked better than Clean & Clear.
