When applying, I dip about half the length of the brush bristles in the pot, and wipe off any extra product on the side of the jar. Starting mid-lid, and remaining as close to my lash line as possible, I drag the brush on its narrow end to the outer corner of my eye. I then go to the inner corner of my eye lid and connect a second line to the outer-half drawn line. Finally, I sweep the brush across the entire length of my eye lid to make sure it is as straight as possible and I correct for any missed spots, making the line a little thicker at the outer corner to achieve a crisp and clean look. I might not have mastered the cat eye yet, but I have definitely come a long way from my failed liquid liner days! Slowly and steadily, I'll get there! :)
Here is a swatch showing how the intensity can be built:
I can now officially state that I am on the gel liner bandwagon! :)
