Glam Holiday Makeup Talk Through Tutorial ft. Jouviance | Big Bold Lashes and Red Lips

There's nothing like Christmas music to get me in the Holiday spirit - that, and (of course) playing with makeup and reaching for bolder lip shades and sparkly eyeshadows. I know I'm not the only one who gets overly excited during this time of the year, am I right? I wanted to create a makeup look incorporating a few products I received recently from Jouviance, namely their Hydra-Colour Multi Quatuor in Black Star*, Eye Pencil in Black Diamond* and Rouge Magistral Lipstick in 12 Opéra à Sydney*. I absolutely meant to use their Mascara 3D Designer in 01 Black* but got a little ahead of myself applying my Make Up For Ever Lash Show Instant Drama False Lashes in C-705* and completely forgot to apply a coat on my natural lashes beforehand. As you will see, the lashes still turned out pretty darn amazing!

Products Used:

Sothys Instant Energizing Corrector* (review)
Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream (review)
Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder* (review)
Sothys Illuminating Face & Eyes Trio in shade 20* (review)
Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo in #1 Pink Beige* (review)
Wet N Wild Brow And Eyeliner Pencil in 648 Taupe
Jouviance Hydra-Colour Multi Quatuor in Black Star*
Jouviance Eye Pencil in Black Diamond*
Make Up For Ever Lash Show Instant Drama False Lashes in C-705* (review)
Jordana Kohl Kajal Lipliner in Red (hauled)
Jouviance Rouge Magistral Lipstick in 12 Opéra à Sydney*

The Hydra-Colour Quatuor in Black Star (C$34) features four multi-effect eyeshadows that can be applied either wet or dry. It comes with a matte black and beige as well as a shimmery champagne and blue. The matte shades are not as pigmented as the sparkly shadows, however they can be applied wet which means you can build up their intensity if you are going for a very dramatic look. These shadows are very smooth and I like that they come in a handy compact with a mirror, perfect for touch ups throughout the day (or night).

I went for a very basic black line on my lids using their Eye Pencil in Black Diamond (C$19) which also comes with a smudger on one end. I did not expect this matte black pencil to be so creamy! As you can see in my video tutorial above, this just glides across my lid without tugging or getting messy. Two big thumbs up from me!

The Mascara 3D Designer in 01 Black (C$22) comes with a fiber brush that tapers slightly at the tip. Despite my best intentions to use it for this look, I still haven't got around to trying it but I will do my best to let you know how I like it down the line.

Last but not least, no holiday makeup look is complete without a bright red lip! This is where the Rouge Magistral Lipstick in 12 Opéra à Sydney (C$20) comes in, basically a semi-opaque dark red. The packaging has a magnetic closure which I absolutely love - it's in the details you know! I would not go as far as saying this is the best red lipstick I have ever tried, but it is a beauty nonetheless. Highly recommend if you are just venturing into bolder lip colours as this one is on the sheerer side.

For my first time trying Jouviance makeup products, I am overall very pleased with their performance! If you enjoyed watching this video and would like to see more, please make my day and subscribe to my channel :)

What do you think of this look? Are you as excited for the Holidays as I am?
