NEW Jergens Moisturizer for Wet Skin + My Morning Hustle Tips

For many, makeup is a weakness. I would say skin care is right up there for me as well. As you can probably tell from my previous posts, I am an avid skin care fanatic and I really cannot count how many different lotions and potions I've tried over the years. Of course, nothing beats finding an amazing body product that keeps your skin looking plump and feeling soft, especially when it can save you time in your morning routine when you have to get out the door fast. I've only ever applied moisturizer on dry skin, so when I found out that the new Jergens Moisturizer for Wet Skin* was meant to keep skin looking its best immediately after showering when your skin is most capable of absorbing moisture, I had to give it a go.

AMOREPACIFIC Color Control Cushion Compact in 104 Tan Blush | Review

Creams, powders, liquid foundations, there are so many to choose from! I've really been into powder foundations lately, but something I've actually never played with is cushion foundation which seems to be all the rage right now. The few Asian makeup products I have tried, such as the Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream and the Omorose BB Foundation Stick have been really good on my skin so I was really excited to try the AMOREPACIFIC Color Control Cushion Compact in 104 Tan Blush*, a Korean brand that can be found at Sephora. Choosing my shade was tricky, but after looking up swatches online it seemed this shade would be a good match for my current skin colour. When I opened the compact I thought to myself this is way too dark, however as I had read online it goes on much lighter so I was relieved when it blended nicely into my post vacation tanned skin.

NEW Lipidol Skin Care: Cleansing Face Oil, Overnight Face Oil, Cleansing Body Oil and After Shower Oil | Review

If  you asked me which I prefer in skin care: creams or oils, oils would win hands down. Like many, I used to believe that applying oils directly to the skin was a big no-no, but once I did more research I learned that it is seriously the best thing you can apply to your skin! I've since tried a handful of natural oils, some of my favourites being coconut, rosehip, lavender and geranium. You can imagine my interest when I read that the makers of Bio-Oil had just come out with an affordable range of face and body oils that are meant to lock in moisture and quickly soothe dry skin. This new Lipidol range comprises both face and body oils developed to be fast absorbing and sensitive skin friendly. I've been putting the Cleansing Face Oil*, Overnight Face Oil*, Cleansing Body Oil* and After Shower Oil* to the test to see if they actually work as well as they claim.

Does Oil Pulling Really Work? | Benefits + Perla Coco Review

I have already professed my love for coconut oil a few times in the past and even dedicated an entire post to the benefits of using it on your hair here. I've always been intrigued by the practice of oil pulling for oral health and have done it in the last year, although inconsistently. Since it is recommended to do it every morning for 15 minutes before eating and I'm usually in a rush to catch the bus for work, I just haven't been good about it lately. I was recently introduced to the brand Perla Coco - they offer oil cleansing packs to improve dental and gum health. I wanted to see if it was any different from using plain coconut oil. I received their 2 Week Plan Oil Pulling Pack* and challenged myself to oil pull daily for 14 days straight.

That Time I Was in Greece | Visiting Athens, Delphi and Santorini Island

I've been dealing with a serious case of wanderlust ever since I got back from Greece. Funny enough, I was never really interested in visiting the country up until a couple of years ago when it seemed everyone I knew would share pictures of their travels on Facebook and raved about their time in the Mediterranean. That is when I knew I had to see it all with my own eyes. Another reason I held back from traveling to Greece is that I thought the trip would cost an exorbitant amount of money. To my great surprise, we were able to find amazing deals as we were planning to visit during the off season and even managed to find a really cheap and lovely apartment in Athens through Airbnb as well as affordable hotels on the island of Santorini. I had never tried Airbnb before but had heard good reviews on the service. I'm so glad we booked with them because we had such a good experience and our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. I know I will definitely be using Airbnb a lot more now as we actually preferred our stay at our apartment over our hotels (you can click here* to earn a C$26 credit on your next booking).

Fall Makeup | Deep Blue Winged Eyes and Cherry Red Lips

I finally had some time to sit down in front of the camera and film a video (thank you Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend!), but I wasn't really sure what to share with you guys! Since it's been a few months since I filmed a makeup look, I thought I would let inspiration strike me as I reached for some of my current favourites, and I am quite happy with how the look came together.

Fall Statement Lip with Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick in Iris, Glossed Over Lip Gloss in Hyacinth and Lip Liner in Berry | Review

Darks lips in fall are a thing, there is no denying it. I've always been a fan, but haven't experimented much with vampy shades in the past. Honestly, I never really thought I could pull the look off since I believed I would scare people more than anything. Not to mention the fear of it not lasting and smudging past the lip line and ending up on my teeth! This year, I thought why not just go all in and try out a handful of bold shades to see what I would look like. I opted for the Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick in Iris*, Glossed Over Lip Gloss in Hyacinth* and Lip Liner in Berry*, all of which pair well together but also look amazing on their own. I've never tried anything from the Arbonne line before, but have had my eyes on them since I discovered that all their products are vegan and cruelty free.

Sothys Energizing Booster Serum and Instant Energizing Corrector | Review

I've been going through my skincare like never before simply because my skin has been drinking everything up! Since coming back from vacation, my skin has become even drier and the chilly weather has not helped remedy the situation. I've been making an effort to be on top of my regimen and really stick to it. I've been testing out a few new products in the last month, and a duo that I really wanted to share with you is the Sothys Energizing Booster Serum* and Instant Energizing Corrector*. These two have been amazing and provide quick results. After only a week of using them, I noticed how more even my skin looked!

NEW Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation Review + Fall Makeup Look!

Liquid foundations have been my go-to since I started wearing makeup and in the last couple of years I've also grown to love powder foundations (this one being one of my favourites). I haven't experimented much with stick foundations, and the few that I have tried have left me feeling unimpressed. I was looking forward to see if the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation* would step up to the plate and change my opinion on them for good. I thought I would also show you a darker makeup look using a few more products by the brand, including the Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Pencil in 0L Matte Black*, the Smoky Extravagant Mascara*, Aqua Lip Liner Pencil in Red 8C* and Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #43 Moulin Rouge*.
