NEW #zerotoxic Mistik Hair Care Line | Natural and Vegan

Do you like surprises? A few weeks back, a mystery package I wasn't expecting landed on my doorstep. At first I thought they must have gotten the address wrong, but no, the box was really addressed to me. Upon opening, I discovered three "no name" products: a shampoo, a conditioner and a styling gel. A little note explained that a new local hair care brand had just launched and myself and a few other bloggers were selected to test the line out for three weeks before the mystery brand would be revealed to us. How fun right? All we were told is that the products are all natural, vegan and contain zero synthetic ingredients.

That evening, I switched my hair products up and put my new additions to use. I was delighted about how wonderful they all smelled - very light and delicate. The clear shampoo required a bit more product than I would usually apply to get that "clean feel", but that is something I expected as natural products do not lather as much (if at all). The cream conditioner was more thick and I concentrated it from ear level to my ends. The next morning when I woke up, I noticed my hair looked more weighted down on the bottom half, and I attributed that to not rinsing the conditioner out well enough. So the next time I washed my hair, I made sure to double rinse and that fixed the issue. As for the styling gel, using the tiniest amount goes a long way. It does a good job at taming flyaways on days when I wake up with my hair looking a little frazzled.

Fast forward to three weeks later, a new package arrived and I quickly unboxed it to discover its contents. *Drum roll please* and the mystery brand is: Mistik! Montreal made with only organic ingredients, founder Jean-Éric Marie, who originates from the island of Mauritius and has a scientific background, decided to start a hair care line made from 100% natural and vegan ingredients upon arriving in Canada. His vision for respecting nature and using its fruits to create sustainable products became one.

I received the full size bottle of the Hydration Dry Hair Shampoo* made with goji berry, flax seed and yucca and the Fortify Nourishing Conditioner* with maple, shea butter, horsetail and vitamin E. The gel I tried is the Daily Styling Gel* with blueberry and flax. I was not kidding when I said these smell amazing, so reading the ingredient list was such a treat!

Now available at select Pharmaprix stores in Québec, this new #zerotoxic Mistik hair care line is such a great brand to support and I'm so glad to see a natural brand making its debut at a popular chain store. Both the shampoo and conditioner retail for C$17.99, while the styling gel goes for C$15.99. To find a location carrying Mistik near you, click here.

Have you tried any natural hair products? Would you give Mistik a try?
