Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia

Canada is such a beautiful country to live in, and Mother Nature manifests itself in all kinds of ways around here - from scorching hot temperatures in the summer to frigid cold weather in the winter, and of course everything in between. It is no secret that our winters are very harsh, so a good winter lip treatment is definitely a must for us Canadians. I've tried my fair share of lip treatments, and by far the one that has stood out to me the most is Nivea's Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia. Now let me tell you why I love this lip treatment so much!

First thing you will notice when you open this little tin of goodness is the lovely sweet scent... I seriously can't get enough! I keep mine on my desk and I randomly have to sneak in some sniffs throughout the day to curb my obsession for the scent. Now on to its actual performance: all I can say is that it does everything a lip treatment should do. It lasts for a very long time and I feel like it actually penetrates my lips instead of just staying on the surface. It is on the heavier side, and has a waxy texture so it does feel slightly greasy on the lips, but it's nothing unbearable and it really stays in place. I'm also a big fan of the packaging, from its design to its sturdiness. The first time I wanted to use it I kept on turning the lid, but no need for that as the lid pops right off with a gentle push.

The Nivea Lip Butter has definitely become my new holy grail lip treatment. It contains natural ingredients such as shea butter, castor seed oil and sweet almond oil, which are among the best ingredients to cure dry skin. I am really glad I have jumped on the bandwagon because this product truly lives up to its expectations!

Have you tried any of the Nivea Lip Butters?

  1. This sounds like an amazing one, and as I'll be heading back to school next week and will have to walk for 20 minutes in Montreal everyday, I think I will be getting this to make sure the wind doesnt dry up my lips to much!! The smell is also tempting!!

Haha, I know what you mean about having an obsession for the scent of things. I sometimes put on my hand lotion just so I can smell it :P

  19. Oh my gosh, this flavor sounds to die for!! I've only tried a boring original chap stick by Nieva (but admittedly loved,) so seeing this makes me jealous! Why did I opt for a boring flavor rather than this?!
